Dad's Army Comes Home
On the week leading up to the statue unveiling members of WOSP (Walmington on Sea Players) put a special play
called Dad`s Army Comes Home.With permission from David Croft and Jimmy Perry the play featured two very
famous episodes,The Deadly Attachment and the Godiva Affair.Directed by Ian Gower the show was performed by
local people,many of whom had never been on a stage before.In between the scenes the story of Dad's Army and
it's connections with Thetford was told.The show was staged from June 15th until June 19th,nearly 1000 people came to see
the show with special gala show on the Saturday afternoon.
