It was with much sadness that the museum has learnt of the death of Jimmy Perry, our thoughts are with his family at the very sad time

The museum was pleased to be asked to join the mayor of Thetford councillor Terry Jermy to open Thetford`s new Travelodge on October 21st.
The statue of the captain is now safely installed in it`s new location. Some of the first new visitors were a coach party from Kings Coaches.
The museum was delighted to be asked to feature in the Channel Four programme Four In A Bed. This edition of the show featured a local hotel The Thomas Paine Hotel. The programme was aired on 11th October at 4pm and you should find it on catch up tv.
Our second coach tour of the year took place on Saturday September 3rd. The tour visited locations outside of Thetford. We hope to have 3 of these tours next year.
