In December 2012 the Jones's van was acquired at Bonhams auction by the Jenkins and Pearson families at a hammer price of £55,000 (£63,000 with commission) and has now returned 'home' to Walmington on Sea.
In an extremely generous gesture Trevor & Mavis Jenkins donated their half of the Van to the Museum and we are now in the process of raising funds necessary to both repay the remaining half and bring the van into the Dad's Army Museum collection and to ensure that it remains properly maintained for the future.
