Due to the Tour of Britain Bike Race passing through Thetford on September 12th Jones`s will be on display along the route (Nuns Bridges Road).
The van will not be on display after the end of October, it will be back in 2016.
The museum team is delighted to announce that our museum manager Heather has given birth to a baby daughter, Florence. We send all good wishes to Heather, Florence and dad Alan. We look forward to seeing Florence on her first shift in the museum soon.
We were joined by Frank Williams, John Clegg, Michael Powell and Gordon Peters who very readily signed and had photos taken and I believe all our visitors had a great day including the 70 people who we took on the walking tour.
On Friday June 19th 2015 the museum was pleased to welcome Frank Williams to Thetford. Frank performed his one man show to help raise funds to the engine work required on the Jones`s Van. It was a great evening and we are very grateful to Frank, Ronnie and the Dad`s Army Appreciation Society for a great evening.
We sent the Captain on a very special mission last Wednesday 17th, he was guest of honour at a special day to mark 80 years of the Trefoil Guild, it is a hard life but someone had to do it !
