A frosty captain
It is very cold out there but the captain still sits there looking out over Walmington on Sea. The museum may be closed for the winter break but you can still visit the statue.
There are some more pictures below.

Since it opened in December 2007, the Dad's Army Museum has gone from strength to strength. Today thousands of visitors make their way to Thetford (Walmington-on-Sea) each year to see where the series was filmed and to learn more about one of the most enduring comedy programmes ever produced.
In December 2012 the Jones's van was acquired at Bonhams auction by the Jenkins and Pearson families at a hammer price of £55,000 (£63,000 with commission) and has now returned 'home' to Walmington on Sea.
Some of the museum team had a busy Sunday morning cleaning the statue of Captain Mainwaring.
He looks lovely again why not pop along and see him. If you become a volunteer you can also help keep the statue clean.
Great friend to the museum, Steve Lilly, is a fantastic portrait artist from Birmingham. His work is incredible and we are very honoured to have him as part of our team. He has worked with us to create pieces that are exclusive to Dad's Army Museum Thetford - you simply can't buy them anywhere else!
