The museum was delighted to be asked to feature in the Channel Four programme Four In A Bed. This edition of the show featured a local hotel The Thomas Paine Hotel. The programme was aired on 11th October at 4pm and you should find it on catch up tv.
Our second coach tour of the year took place on Saturday September 3rd. The tour visited locations outside of Thetford. We hope to have 3 of these tours next year.
Once again the museum was pleased to welcome Jayne Darling to the museum as part of the 2016 Thetford Great Festival. Visitors coming along to see Jayne included the Mayor of Thetford Terry Jermy, his consort Corinne Fulford and Elizabeth Truss MP. Watch our website for details later about our 2017 events.
Many thanks to Maria Cooke for the photographs.
The weekend of July 16th and 17th was very busy for the museum. On the Saturday we took a party out to view some of the out of Thetford locations including Bardwell, Homington and Brandon. The coach used was a 1958 Bedford. This trip was a sell out as is the one in September. We will be staging 3 coach tours in 2017.
On the Sunday the museum team, platoon and the Jones`s Van went off to Kings Lynn for their Home Front event.
